Licensure and Accreditation

Passion University, like other universities, does not issue licensure. In the USA licensure is controlled by the government, usually at the state level. Depending on location, additional specialized trainings and/or exams may be required for licensure. Students are encouraged to obtain information from any location in which they may want to practice regarding their requirements.

In the United States, many licensing authorities and employers require accredited degrees as the basis for eligibility for licensing and employment. Passion University offers a unique academic experience which does not fit the same mold as traditional institutions. It is not accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the United States Secretary of Education. To become accredited by these agencies, the university would have to model its programs after the guidelines set forth by them, and in so doing would be forced to compromise its emphasis on passion-based, experiential education.

Passion University’s programs are intended to bring credibility to holistic studies by providing a pathway to career options that will be fully supportive of their life purpose. The university accept comparable courses for either General Education or Holistic Studies credits after we have reviewed them and verified the student’s completion of the courses.
