Course Description

Topics covered:

• Expressive art modalities: drawing, sculpting, dance/movement, music, drama, poetry, sandplay
• Expressive and healing nature of the arts
• The connection between the creative process, imagery, spiritual exploration, and artistic expression
• The arts as a form of thinking
• Psychodrama theory, process, and techniques
• Role-playing, distancing, and projection
• Group dynamics and psychodrama as a trans formative tool with groups, families, and couples
• Self discovery of physical, emotional, and mental themes in personal life scripts
• Mapping of subjective feeling and emotions with external objects and processes
• Sacred time and space, rituals, and sacred arts

Expressive Arts is a hybrid course, with both online and workshop components.
